Create your Design
1. Measure the diameter of the tin you wish to embellish.

2. Using this measurement, create a design using DigitizerPro software or the editing function in your embroidery machine.
3. For best results, place a decorative border around the perimeter of the circle, leaving about 1/8” on the outside.
Note: If using the editing function in your embroidery machine, the built in grid measures 4/10” per square.
4. Use a scrap of fabric to test your design, using your pattern to ensure accurate sizing.
5. Modify your design as necessary.

Create the Lid
1. Remove and stickers from the top of the mints can.
2. Draw a pattern by tracing around the bottom of the can using a pencil and card stock.
3. Using your DigitizerPro software or the editing functions on your Janome embroidery machine, create a message and design for your tin.
4. Hoop your fabric and stabilizer, and stitch out your design.
5. When finished, unhoop and remove stabilizer from the back of the fabric.
6. Using the pattern created in step 2, cut the circle out using the decorative scissors.

Adhere the Lid

1. Using the glue, add ribbons or trims to decorate the sides of the box.
2. Again using the glue, adhere the circle to the top of the can.
Note: If your tin has a flap on the top which opens and closes, be sure to glue the top so that the tin opens and closes.
3. When glue is totally dry, add decorative buttons, gems, crystals or any other decorative effect you choose.
4. Using the pattern, cut a piece of felt or fabric for the bottom of the can and attach with glue.
5. Enjoy!
