Fleece Neck Warmer

This neck wrap is fun easy and versatile, you will want to make several. This can easily be adapted for serger construction as well. Our version uses fleece, which you can use plain or embellish with embroidery. A fair weather version made out of light flannel or even cotton is another great option, perhaps with an invisible zipper.

Janome Supplies Required:
Machine – Any sewing machine
F foot
Zipper Foot
¼” O Foot
Fabric and Notions Required: ¼ yards of fleece
One 9” Separating Sportswear Zipper
Thread to match the fleece (cotton or dual duty)
Basic Sewing Supplies
Cutting Instructions:
1. Cut two 27 x 8 inch pieces of the fleece.
2. Place the two pieces of fleece right sides together and pin in place.
3. On the top Left corner mark 6 inches in toward the center.
4. Mark from the marking made above to the lower left corner .

5. Cut along the diagonal line drawn.
6. On the lower Right corner mark 6 inches in toward the center.
7. Mark from the marking made above to the Top Right.
8. Cut along the diagonal line drawn.
Assembly (all seams are ¼” seams)
1. With the fleece layered wrong side together pin in place one-half of the zipper on each one of the slanted sides and stitch using the zipper foot.
2. Stitch along the top and bottom so to create a hem. You may choose to do this with a decorative stitch or a straight stitch. If you have a serger, you may finish the edges with a decorative thread.
