- Set up the CoverPro for a two needle Cover Hem. Insert the Schmetz Elx705 into the left and middle (center) needle positions.
- Threading the left needle first and then the middle needle with the Robison Anton polyester thread.
- Thread the chain looper with the Candlelight thread.
- Adjust both needle tensions to “8” and the chain looper to “3”
- Set the stitch length at 3 and the differential feet dial at 1.0.
- On the wrong side of the interfaced rectangle stitch on the lines drawn.
Hint _ Start serging on a scrap of fabric, then place the project next to the scrap and continue serging. At the end of the serging, insert a scrap of fabric and serge off.

- Take the 3” x 45” strip of pink satin polyester fabric, wrong sides together, fold in half lengthwise and press.
- Fold in both sides (raw edges) to the center pressed line and press again. Fold in half again to enclose the raw edges. Press. Strip should now be approximately 3/4” wide.

- Using the right hand side of the presser foot as a guide stitch down the length of the strap.
- Do not turn the strap over. Once again using the right hand side of the presser foot as a guide stitch down the opposite side of the length of the strap.
Note: Both lines of decorative stitching should be on the same side of the strap.

- Take the 2” x 8 1/2” strip of pink satin polyester fabric, wrong sides together, fold in half lengthwise and press. Fold in both sides (raw edges) to the center pressed line and press again. Fold in half again to enclose the raw edges. Press. Strip should now be approximately 1/2” wide.
- Stitch down the center of the strip.
- Place a pin in the center at 4 1/4”.
- At the pin, fold the fabric strip at a right angle to create a point.

- At the pin, fold the other half of the strip at a right angle to form the button loop.
