Dear Jan,
Why does my machine sometimes skip stitches when I'm quilting? -Anonymous

Dear Anonymous,
Skipped stitches may be caused if the needle is blunt or inserted incorrectly or if it is the incorrect type or shape of needle for your machine. The machine might need cleaning around the feed dog. Rethread the top and the bobbin. For straight stitching, try the needle plate for straight sewing.
