Can I bar tack a quilt? -Anonymous
A quilt certainly can be "bar-tacked". You can achieve this method by marking the quilt at regular intervals. I would suggest no farther apart than 5 or 6 inches. The bar-tacking can be sewn with a wide zigzag, stitch length set at 0.2 or a close satin stitch, or you can bar-tack with one of the decorative stitches on your Memory Craft. Just select a stitch, memorize, then select a locking stitch and memorize. Your Memory Craft will just sew on decorative pattern in place. On the Memory Craft 11000, go to the quilting mode and select stitch 28. This will bar-tack the quilt.
