Dear Jan,
What is the difference between DB and HL needles? -Anonymous

Dear Anonymous,

DB needles are used on the 1600P-DBX and 1600P-DB. DB needles are industrial strength and are available in more sizes than the standard needle. These needles have a rounded top to them where they are inserted into the machine.

HL needles are used on the 1600P machine. HL needles are 50% stronger than household needles. These needles have a flat area at the top of the needle, which is placed to the back of the machine when inserting the needle into the machine. The flat back allows for easy insertion.

The look or quality of the stitch is not affected by the type of these needles.
