Janome America, Inc., a leading manufacturer of home sewing machines, debuts the AQS2009 machine to celebrate the American Quilter’s Society’s 25th Anniversary. This limited edition machine will be unveiled at the Paducah Quilt Show in Kentucky, April 22 – 25, where quilters from across the country will come to support and honor Best of Show winners from the past 25 years and get a first look at the AQS2009 machine.
“We are so proud to support an organization which has helped to develop and make quilting the recognized art form that it is today,” says Jiro Hagiwara, president and CEO of Janome America, Inc. “The AQS2009 is the perfect tribute to American Quilter’s Society’s anniversary because of its versatile and advanced features that can be enjoyed by quilters of all levels and abilities.”
“We are thrilled to have Janome, a prominent and influential sewing machine manufacturer, on board to help celebrate our special anniversary,” says Meredith Schroeder, co-founder and president of the American Quilter’s Society. “Many of our members are loyal Janome users and we know they will want to use this new AQS2009 Janome machine.”
The AQS2009 packs the punch of a full-size machine with a smaller model’s price, efficiency and portability. At just 12 pounds with a built in carrying handle and a protective hard cover, this machine is ideal for traveling anywhere from quilting classes to guild meetings. In addition, the convenient removable storage compartment easily stores the snap-on foot conversion, free arm/flat bed convertible and other accessories so sewists can take all the necessary tools on the go.
Features such as the horizontal full rotary hook and de-clutch bobbin winder gives this small compact machine the feel of a full sized computerized sewing machine. Sewists will love modifying the machine to their personal preferences with adjustable stitch width and lengths, stretch stitch adjustment, and 20 stitches to choose from. The speed control lever, electronic foot control, built-in needle threader and cutter and easy-to-see LED displays ensure ease-of-use for quilters of all levels.
