MAHWAH , N.J. ñ Your creative style reflects the many facets of your personality. You need a sewing machine that can respond with corresponding versatility. The Memory Craft 9700 from Janome is a high precision quilting machine, a multipurpose sewing machine, and a full-featured Professional-Style Embroidery machine. The MC9700 not only fulfills these multiple roles successfully, it moves between them with greater ease than other brands of sewing and embroidery machines.
Thanks to Janome's patented telescopic carriage arm, the MC9700 does not require an additional embroidery attachment. Switching from Ordinary Sewing to Embroidery is easier and the embroidery hoop moves with amazing accuracy. In fact, it all takes just two steps: 1) Press the embroidery mode key, 2) Attach the embroidery foot. It's ready to go. Two generous hoops (5” x 4.3” and 5.5” x 7.9”) come standard with the MC9700, and with the optional 9" x 5" Giga Hoop, the MC9700 can do large-scale embroidery designs with ease.
For easy access to its advanced embroidery features, the MC9700 boasts a large and bright color touchscreen. It allows for easy editing of embroidery designs and fast on-screen layouts, as well as quick transfer of designs. Creating complex embroidery layouts is as easy as touch, drag and drop. Designs and even complete layouts can be brought in via the built-in ATA PC Card slot (also called Type II flash memory).
The MC9700 comes loaded with 95 built in embroidery designs in a variety of sizes. It can also read PC Design Cards through the ATA PC Card slot, and it can still use classic Memory Craft cards (#102 and higher) using the optional Card Reader 10000. Add in the designs that can be created with Janome software and the embroidery files that can be downloaded from the Internet, and the possibilities are endless.
The MC9700 also has the most important features for flawless sewing and quilting. Its extensive package of decorative and utility stitches can be combined, customized and saved for later recall. It comes with seven automatic buttonholes and Janome's superior feed system that ensures every stitch is precisely in place.
The automatic needle threader is just one element of an entire package of convenience features, like automatic tension control, drop-in bobbin, and the easy access accessory compartment in the top. The variable speed control lets you choose the speed range you're most comfortable in, and the Start/Stop button means you don't have to use the foot control if you don't want to--quilters love this feature, which allows them to fully relax while sewing long seams or intricate corners and angles.
