I have been sewing quilts for just over a year. I occasionally use the fancy stitches on my current 6300. Is it worth the $$ to upgrade? I have purchased from a Janome dealer who provides great support and service. I am ready to setup my website and sell quilts on line.

Would love opinions from anyone who has upgraded or has the MC6600. Thanks!

Hi All,
I am still in love with my 8 year old 6500. Hope someone can help me. I am trying to use a double eye Schmetz needle. HAve tried treading machine seperate then togeather rewound the bobbin with good cotton thread and also with Isacord which is my top thread. The top eye thread lays on top then breaks. I have adjusted my tension both ways with no success.
Any thoughts on this problem.

I have just purchased my 7700 and I'm quite pleased. However, when I thread the bobbin, I find it starts at the top and winds down, but does not go back up to wind the bobbin evenly. Am I doing something wrong? Does something need to be adjusted?

I have carpal tunnel syndrome, causing hand needle felting to became painful, so I bought the 725 this week to help. My current project is to needle felt one hand-felted piece on another as "seamless" as possible.

I'm felting it from the back which is yellow felt. The needles that came with the 725 make very deep, wide holes even on a single punch. They push a lot of the wool to the very front which is green. Hand needles don't do that for me. I really want to preserve most of the green, with barely a hint of the yellow. Thus I cannot use the machine as-is.

I'm new to felting, but I surmise that it's either the needle size and/or the barb size and/or number of barbs that are causing this. Can someone help me identify the right fine needles to achieve what I'm asking?

I need to finish this project this weekend for a show. While I want to get the right needles for the job, if I can't get them locally, if someone can recommend an "in a pinch" solution, that would be helpful in the short term for this project.
