Hi All,
I am still in love with my 8 year old 6500. Hope someone can help me. I am trying to use a double eye Schmetz needle. HAve tried treading machine seperate then togeather rewound the bobbin with good cotton thread and also with Isacord which is my top thread. The top eye thread lays on top then breaks. I have adjusted my tension both ways with no success.
Any thoughts on this problem.

I have just purchased my 7700 and I'm quite pleased. However, when I thread the bobbin, I find it starts at the top and winds down, but does not go back up to wind the bobbin evenly. Am I doing something wrong? Does something need to be adjusted?

I have carpal tunnel syndrome, causing hand needle felting to became painful, so I bought the 725 this week to help. My current project is to needle felt one hand-felted piece on another as "seamless" as possible.

I'm felting it from the back which is yellow felt. The needles that came with the 725 make very deep, wide holes even on a single punch. They push a lot of the wool to the very front which is green. Hand needles don't do that for me. I really want to preserve most of the green, with barely a hint of the yellow. Thus I cannot use the machine as-is.

I'm new to felting, but I surmise that it's either the needle size and/or the barb size and/or number of barbs that are causing this. Can someone help me identify the right fine needles to achieve what I'm asking?

I need to finish this project this weekend for a show. While I want to get the right needles for the job, if I can't get them locally, if someone can recommend an "in a pinch" solution, that would be helpful in the short term for this project.

I am trying to keep my Janome Horizon clean and free of lint in the bobbin case, and have a hard time getting everything back into place after cleaning. I just spent at least 30 min trying to get the machine to sew correctly, pick up the bobbin thread correctly and keeping the thread from breaking. I took the sole plate off at least 5-6 times and tried realigning the bobbin case then closing it back up and it still wouldn' sew correctly. This whole thing started because I noticed a strange sound when the machine was sewing. so I did clean out a lot of fuzz from the bobbin case area, but getting the machine back together so it worked correctly took me way longer than it should have. I must be doing something wrong ... Anyone else have these problems after cleaning the bobbin case???? Finally got it put back together and it is sewing and the stange noise is gone, but it doesn't seem like it should take me this long to get the machine back after doing the recommended cleaning of the bobbin case area.

HELP!!

I have had my Sewist 521 for about 5 years now and I am stuck. I have been trying to sew a maternity skirt and my machine all of a sudden is eating the thread! I am not sure what's going on... I have cleaned out the Bobbin area several times and tried hand winding it but as the needle thread is pulled around the winding mechanism in the bobbin area keeps eating and not releasing my thread. It's done it a couple of times before and a simple cleaning and re-spooling has fixed it, but this time it won't work. I've changed my needle in case it was bent.... I'm using the same thread in the needle as I have in the bobbin. I've adjusted the tension up and down. I'm sewing on a jersey fabric.

HELP!
