I have tried several of the stitches that have been recommended in the manuel.
I have played with changing the stitch length and pattern design.
I seem to have the the best results using a 12 Needle, Sulky Verigated thread 30 Weight. I have my machine set on Mode 2, Pattern 66, Width 2.5 and the Length 1.5. I am doing trying to applique stars and the points of the stars give me a problem. I have tried bring the width down to 1.0 but I am not thrilled with the results. Can any one help. I am also using a light weight stabelizer.
I am making a quilt for a new baby and I want it to come out looking well. The applique pieces are going to go on the end posts because the fabric was not long enough.

Also, where would I find posts related to my machine. It seems mosts posts are related to the Horizon and that was not in my budget.

Are you doing the blanket stitch? You can't get a corner without the stitches crossing over each other. Draw a picture and you will see why. You do need to sew the corners or they will flop and that would look worse.

I am a newby to sewing but I think I know what the blanket stitch is. What would my settings be? Thanks for the help.
