Could someone please advise me on how to join the ends of braided trim? I have a braided trim attached to a sew on seam allowance that I want to insert in the seams of a pillow I am making. The braid is heavy three strand. If I overlap the seam at the end, it is very bulky. Any hints on how to attach the ends of this type of trim? Thanks! Barb

Hi Barb, I open up the last and first inch of the braids and then fold them at a right angle so they lie across the seam allowance and get trapped when the seams are sewn. I try to make sure the ends are centre bottom of the cushion if I'm making a cushion. If I'm making a cloth I use a bodkin needle to pass the individual cords of the braid to the back then slip stitch the ends to the underside of the cloth.
