I just purchased the Memory Craft 9000 from a friend and I need help with the memory cards. My friend gave me a book that has all memory cards for models 9000, 8000, 5000. Are these interchangeable? How do I know which ones work for the 9000? What do I need to purchase if I want to download designs?

Well if you dealer still carries them you will be able to get them through them. Other places on line still carry them you will have to do a search for them. Ebay is another place to find used cards.

Check here for all the cards that are available for you machine

Hi - E Bay is a good source of these and the 9000 takes many of the cards. If you want to start using downloaded designs you might consider picking up a Customiser 2000 via E Bay from time to time. Just make sure the software works with your computer - works well with XP but not not Apple. Also I had to buy a connection 'jack' to convert the connection to USB as my laptop did not take the older plugs. Have fun and if you need any help - just ask. I use the 9000 but also the newer 350E - I honestly think the 9000 embroidery is better, far less thread breaks and fussiness - just my opinion!
Cheers

What is the difference between the Customizer 2000 and the Magic Box Elite?

Truthfully about 200.00 off of ebay and 600.00 from the dealer. you do get Janome software with the Janome 2000. It is the more expensive one. BUT the big difference is that it is Microsoft approved to work with your computer. Also you can use the customizer to save the designs to the computer.

The other box you can ready Brother Viking and Bernina cards and save them to your card to use in your machine.
