Did you re-boot the computer? Perhaps that will fix the problem. Also, if my memory serves me correctly, there is a free upgrade to Version 2 on the Janome Global website. Try and install that if you can.
You also have an opportunity to upgrade, at a cost of course, to MBX and pay the same as anyone, even though you are about 3 to 4 years behind in software upgrades. It is well worth the cost - I've been through them all and MBX has so much more to offer and becomes more user friendly as well.
Have you uninstalled the program. If you do that, you will then be able to reinstall and all the files should be there. You will obviously need to do the updates/upgrades from the Janome Global site, to get the most current software of your version.
