Hi, I have the digitizer Pro program and I am trying to create a t-shirt for someone who wants the lettering on the t-shirt to have white lettering with a black outline/border stitch. I can get the outline stitch around the entire word but want it around each individual letter. The single/triple run stitch method is very time consuming and difficult to accomplish. Is there an easier way to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

You can use the offset feature in your program. I have MBX so I cannot remember which tool it is but it is on the botton tool bar I believe. If you look under view the tools are listed. Then you can offset by the number you wish to offset by. Be sure there is enough room around the letttering to do so.

PattyCoz use the offset as MOM has mentioned but set the offset for 0 or a minus number as Tees are prone to stretching, and only 1 pass. That will place a runline which you can then change through object details to triple stitch. You may ultimately find its faster and more easily done manually, as push pull will cause problems, so test on a tee fabric before commiting to the actual garment.

You sure can make two color lettering. There are two ways:
A: Use a true Two Color font like 2 Col Arial Shadow and 2 Col Plain Script. Both of these are available in the 1.5 update which you can get for free by contacting your dealer (just a shipping fee to pay).
B: Secondly you can change the colors of different letters in your font. Simply drag over one letter and choose a new color in the palette. Click ENTER to accept the change. OR place a carrot " ^ " between each letter and it will change for you. IE: "W^I^L^C^O^M" creates "WILCOM" with each letter a different color.

Hi Jorden, thanks for your reply, what I want to achieve is lettering/name which has a different outline color, for example, the letter "R" to be red in color and an outline stitch around the letter in white. Would these fonts be able to do this and would my program Digitizer Pro/MB be able to read/write it? Secondly, what is the name of the program? Thanks.

Your DProMB can do the 2 colour lettering, judging by Jordan's use of WILCOM as an example I have a feeling she may own Wilcom software. As Wilcom write the the Janome digitising software as well, I think you'll find you have a similar option.
DPro has one of the best stitch engines you can get, it's pedigree is it's origins, Wilcom, so stick with what you have and check your pre digitised alphabets in DPro and try her suggestion.

Thanks for info, I was able to create lettering with outline/bordered with a different color using the offset option. However, the process was time consuming and created 18 color changes!! Additionally, even with triple stitch, hardly noticed the white outline on the lettering. Wish there was an easier way to create. Seems like there should be an easier method! Thanks for your help

Patty, before I retired i used to run quilting classes one evening a week, and upset the traditionalists because I asked, why hand quilt when you have a machine. i was amazed at how many complained it still took time, when I asked how long would they take to hand quilt they'd say weeks if not months. So why I'd ask are you complaining it's slow. You have done in hours what would have taken you weeks or even months.
When you use a powerful hue such as red, which is an advancing colour, using a neutral colour which is what white is, will result in the white being overpowered. Instead of a runline even the triple stitch option, will be unable to cope with the stronger hue. Perhaps a 1.2mm satin would have been a better choice.
