May I ask if anyone knows if this machine has a serging stitch? I just read some of the Janome machines have this. Thank you!

It has an overedge stitch and many other wonderful applications. It does not cut the edge of the fabric if that is what you mean.

Check with your dealer. It may be possible to purchase a foot which has a blade to use with the overedge stitches. Bernina had one of these several years ago but do not know about Janome.

Specifically, go to that T shirt icon and select the third picture (woven) it changes to a stitch called overlock (a.k.a. serger stitch). What happens is that the tension goes way up and it also tells you to use the "M" foot which comes with the machine and has a wire that holds the thread off the edge of the fabric but the tension pulls it close so it looks VERY similar to a serged stitch-it just takes longer than a true serger would. I LOVE this stitch, by the way.
