I am making a ring bearers pillow for a wedding. I am having a problem with my satin puckering. I used a tear away with 505 to secure it to the tear away stabilizer. How do I get perfect results? Should I place a muslin on the back and hoop?

I usually iron on a fusible light weight interfacing which I leave in then I use one or 2 layers of tearaway interfacing. I have used that on all of the satins, silk etc that I have embroidered on. you might want to check Embroidery Library, Kenny's corner has many PDF tutorials on stabilizing on different types of fabric. Jenny Haskins has a wonderful collection of stabilizers and interfacings for the fancy type of fabrics.

Went to the store--got some light weight interfacing- ironed it on my satin- used one sheet of tear away- hooped my satin very tightly -lightened my embroidery design- and stitched it out. It turned out beautifully. Thank you MOM

You are quite welcome. Sometimes it takes trial and error and trust me I have done plenty of errors.

Have a good holiday weekend. Get lots of sewing done.
