is this what I would need to cover up the stitches on the backside of a baby item? I am using poly thread with soft tearaway and it's not bad on the backside but if there is something I could cover it with, i bet it would be appreciated by consumers And by them, I mean my friends and family since I'm still learning, lol. So would it be an iron on tricot or is there something better to use to achieve this?

There is a product made by Sluky that is called Soft and Sheer. You can probably purchase it at JoAnn's fabric store.

Iron-on tricot interfacing would work just fine and not be to harsh on a little ones skin.
