I have Janome digitizer pro version 3... I digitized a cow and saved each time I was finished with a section... When I was finished, I saved it to a PES file which is what my brother pr1000 takes. I did not like some of the areas that stitched out so I went to my jan file of the cow and tried to change some of the areas.. on the small round part of the nose on the cow there must have been 100 points to change direction. I did not use the turning point tool but used satin fill stitch.. when I checked the rest of the areas they were all outlined with so many points I could not change the stitch angle. I don't understand this... Any one have any idea of what could have happened????
Did you do a final save of the design as a Jan, or just saved as PES. what you describe sounds like a stitch file. If you open the jan file, what symbols show in the resequence bar, your original tools or just the parallel fill tool or empty circles with a dotted line joining them. If it's the latter, then your original design has been overwritten by your PES save. You must do a final Jan save, then you can do the stitch conversion and close that window and re-open your original JAN format. When you convert to stitches, above the digitising screen you'll see the design name has changed, instead of Cow Jan, it would read Cow pes, if you then save that as a jan without realising you aren't looking at a stitch file, you overwrite your original Jan with a stitch file.
