Try Shutting machine off ( be sure to remove hoop first) then turn machine back on. Hope this helps.

No it didn't work. Now when I tried to turn the machine back on, it sounded like everything was rattling apart. Don't dare touch it. Guess it doesn't do any good to get upset !!!

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? The little release lever is absolutely stuck. Thanks.

It sounds like you have some sort of a jam in the embroidery arm. Check to see that it is straight and not bent anywhere. Press it open - not hard but give it a little nudge, both opening and closing positions. Then try the little lever again. Try turning it on/off again. It will make a noise as something isn't right in there but by the on/off thing, you reset the machine and it might go to "home" position. If that doesn't work, you have no choice but to take it to be serviced. I think I would do that anyway, as there may be a thread or something caught in the mechanism that you can't see.

Your machine is to valuable to try playing around with "fixing" on your own. If the arm won't go in and you take it to servicing, be very careful how you load it in your vehicle to get it to the shop.

Oh my gosh. I had that happen to me one time when I had my 11,000. I was embroiderying and had taken off the hoop to cut around an applique and did not snap the hoop on the arm correctly. The hoop jumped off and jammed . I shut the machine off and then turned it back on and it did fix itself. It did not damage the arm but it did damage my bobbin case. I was so nervous that when I got the arm shut I took it into my dealer and it was fine. Good Luck. Let us know how you make out.

Try to gently open the arm when you press the lever down. If that doesn't open the arm, you will need to take it in for repair.
