I have a brand new laptop with absolutely no Janome software on it. I would like to install the MC11K Tools on the machine. Following the instructions in the manual does not cover the topic of 64 bit operating systems... The manual is stuck at Windows XP..... WHen I install MC11K Tools it *says* it went fine. But when you check the drivers in Windows update it says nothing was installed. My laptop will not communicate with my Memory Craft 11000. The software on the machine itself is version 1.30.

Can anyone provide detailed, concise, and thorough instructions on how to get me started?

I believe there is a software update for the MCKtools. You need to conect your machine to the computer to get it installed.

I had the same problem with the 64 bit and could not get the update on the website to work. I contacted Janome USA and they sent me a link for the update. it worked fine after it was installed. They were helpful and quick to solve the issue.

If I remember right I had to go to janome and get a driver update but it's beena while so I am not possitive.

Have any of you upgraded your MC11000 to the Special Edition. The last version was V3 and an update to V3.01. Sometimes software upgrades on your computer require a purchase of an upgrade to the sewing machine. Not Janome's fault, just a fact of life of technology progress in other business fields.
