does anyone know what is the best temporary adhesive? I have gotten one from JoAnns fabric and it is only water clean-up for the overspray. The fabric remains sticky for up to 6 months for "air dissipation" according to Prim Inc. I hear a lot use the 505 but I dont know if this will wash out when it is washed. HELLLLLP rose

you may try a double sided foam tape or Velcro or even tapes from xyron, dotto dots or tombow

At the risk of sounding dense, what sre you applying the adhesive too, and how much? I use 505 or an iron on light weight can't remember its name, something like Bondaweb or wondaweb. If I'm using 505 I very lightly spray my stabiliser only, and it is very lightly, nevr my fabric. If I'm making applique shapes I use the embroidery machine plus applique fabric on the sprayed stabiliser, then when my shapes outline has stitched carefully cut just outside the stitching. I use a lightweight stabiliser so when I'm actually doing my applique design I can give the stabiliser behind my applique shape a very gntle spritz of adhesive. Just enough to attach it to the design in the right position.

I've never used 505 heavily enough to have to worry about it not washing out. You only need the lightest mist of it and never on the actual fabric only on the stabiliser. Use too much and it will soak into the fabric attached to it and gum your needles.

If you are refering to Sulky Temporary spray adhesive, try pressing with an iron using the temperature for your fabric and a press cloth.
