I recently bought an entire lot at an estate sale that included over 30 different memory cards. I thought it would say somewhere on the cards what machines they were compatible with but they don't and I can't find the info anywhere online. There are tons but to save time here are a few:
#40 Felix the cat
#19 Wild animal series
#7 Little Grey Rabbit
#119 Australian Floral Designs
#130 Alpine Floral Designs
And the list goes on. Does anybody know which machines these will work with without having to convert them or use a magic box etc. Or is there a list out there that anyone knows about? I want to pick up a used machine but want to make sure these cards will work first.
Thank you

129 and 130 are Janome SEW designs. They are very nice but you will have to convert them to JEF. I don't know about the others.

Brandy, Jacquie is right; the cards numbered with 3 digits are .sew designs for use in the now-retired MC9000. Some of those cards are available on CDs, with the designs converted to .jef. The cards themselves could be used on the now-retired MC10001 by means of a special card reader box. The cards numbered below 100 are also in .sew format and were made for the now-retired MC8000. Some of those designs are available on a CD, with the designs converted to .jef. Please let us know if this helps, Margrette in San Diego

They are all SEW files and are compatible with the 9000 and the 5700 if you have a reader writer box. the cards are out of date without the reader writer box.

Margrette: Do you know if there is a way to put the 8000 memory card designs into the Janome 11000? I have a cute card 19 with the wild animals from my Janome 8000, and no one can tell me how to sew them out on the 11000. The 11000 does not accomodate my 8000 Memory cards and I know that there was a CD with most of those designs but they did NOT include "card 19" (which did happen to be one of my very favorites) Now I cannot use it and I miss using it. It was so cute. I don't know of any place to acquire the card 19 wild animals in jef format or any other format. Do you know how I can get them into my computer to put onto a usb stick or other means...to sew them on the 11000??? Thanks, Sandrea

Sandrea, I purchased a MC9000 for my daughter with about 6 memory cards, thinking that we could convert them somehow. I had the machine for 6 years and never did figure it out. I think you out of luck. You should be able to find similar designs from embroidery library or some other website. There are so many designs out there that you should be able to find something else that you like equally well.

Oh, I remembered that Janome at one time would convert the designs for you but you needed to send your card in and pay a few dollars, probably for mailing and a CD and would send them back to you. I'd do a "Contact Jan" and see what she says.

Thanks Cheryl. Appreciate the reply. I guess I will contact Jan and see what she can tell me. Unfortunately I have possibly hundreds of African Animal designs from every company you can think of, but have never been able to find anything comparable to the Card 19 animals. If you aren't familiar with 19, it is just the cutest thing. All the animals are "cross eyed". ha ha. They aren't like real life animals...they are sort of like a cartoon type animal...but the eyes on them are so cute and irresistable. Just can't find anything in any of my animal designs to come even close the the card 19 collection. Thanks anyway Cheryl. I will check it out with Jan. Sandrea
