I was at a dealer today,I was interested in a table for the mc 10001.the dealer said you can't use them when embroidering. I know this was a topic awhile back on here..Are they cut out for the arm which moves when embroidering. thanks Debi
I have the Janome extension table for the 10001 which can be used for all the janome emb hoops the machine uses. Below are the numbers for some of the extension tables. They are taken from the Janome accessories list.
An extension table fits snugly against your sewing machine, giving you a much larger work surface. Extension tables provide extra support for your sewing and quilting projects. See your Janome dealer for the extension table that fits your model. Acrylic tables are 18" x 24" unless otherwise marked.
Part Numbers for Your Model:
MC10001, MC10000 with Giga Hoop (24" x 24"): DW10KGIGA
MC10001, MC10000: DW10KREG
350E, 300E, MC9700, MC9500 with Giga Hoop (24" x 24"): DW300E95GIGA
I won't embroider without mine in place, it stops hoop bounce, drag on the hoop from fabric, it stays in place for sewing or embroidery, but you do need the one with the precut area for the hoops, the 24 inch square one.
digimad, thanks for your reply. My dealer has me mixed up on this, as he told me yesterday the embroidery function couldn't be used with a extension table, that they were not cut out,and for sewing only.I told him I would check with the forum friends. As I remember this topic before. Is the web site mentioned above a good place to get one. When you put the model in for the 10001 do they know to give you the cut out. Thanks a billion I learn so much about sewing because of on line help. debi
Your dealer has to order the specific model, DW10KGIGA that's the one with the cutout , and the one I own. If the dealer orders the smaller extension table DW10KREG it wont have the cutout.
