Any one else out here wish that Janome would make a power cord with a 90 degree angle so that the cord did not stick out so farm from the body of the machine? With the machines getting so large it is getting more difficult to raise and lower the machine in cabinets with lift mechanism...mine I have to scoot the
machine way over when raising and lowering or unplug it alltogether and then replug. I don't think it would be that hard for their techs to come up with a cord that plugs to the machine the same angle the foot pedal plugs into the machine.

Power cords are pretty much standard across the board, so it's unlikly Janome makes them simply buys them in. I've used ones from my radio on my machine and one from a different make of sewing machine as the female end was identical to the male end in the machine.

So do you know where I could get one with a 90 degree angle? Any hints would be great.

Unfortunately the answer is no. asking for a power cord with a 90 degree angle at the point it meets the connections for the female recievers is a pretty tall order. It would place too much stress on the connections. I disconnect mine when I finish using it, in case my grandson decides to press buttons or switches.

actually, if you look at the non-polarized angled cords (google ICE C7 right angle power lead) there is no stress...the connection is molded and plugs in similar to the way the foot pedal does. They just haven't manufactured the polarized version yet. Would be ideal. I have contacted the techs at Janome also. I'll keep you posted.

They are actually available and because they are pretty much standard (even thought they are polarized) you may be able to get them from an Elna dealer-I had one from them years ago for my 10000.

Elna is owned by Janome. There are plugs that you can buy with more than one outlet that do turn to the side. I bought one years ago so don't remember where. I needed it for behind a dresser as the outlet was in the middle of the wall and that dresser covered it. Still takes a bit of room but not nearly as much.
