Hi everyone, I'm new to this so bare with me please. I'm looking for your expert opinions on what kind of new machine I should buy. I do alot of alterations and hems on anything from prom dresses to jeans so I need something very versatile. Any ideas???
Hi Sewbugnh... You have reached a good support group for opionions on fabulous machines. Check out the section here called: Choosing a Janome Machine. First, consider your budget. Next consider sewing stitches that you use or would like to use. Finally you will need to visit a Janome dealer with these things in mind. Test drive their recommendations based on your budget and then you will be able to make a great decision. You may also want to visit a site called "Pattern Review" where there is a section that deals with many machines, manufacturers and what other users say about the machines, support from the dealers, etc. Happy hunting!!

The MC200E is a good machine however you are limited to the size of the design you can do. You may find that if you are going to build a business you may want to look at a Janome embroidery machine that does a bigger design, or a combination sewing/embroidery .
Thanks MOM. Re. embroidery as a business, I wish to concentrate on doing company logo. Unfortunately, we do not have that much choice on Janome sewing/embroidery machine or other makes. the mc200e was the only model available. It is not easy to buy over the internet from the Seychelles.
