Hi All,

I read from time to time how folks need Janome sewing manuals. Here is a site I found by accident that has many of them.

http://www.sewshop.com/#/content/p/8/catid/4312

They have quite a selection .

Cheryl - I'm still hoping that spring will arrive here in Saskatchewan VERY soon.

Are you kidding me?
15 dollars for the pdfs.

All I want to do is study the manual BEFORE I buy this equipment.

I do the same for virtually everything I plan to buy that is of much note.

I can find Singer, Brother manuals online at their sites but
nothing from this outfit.

I'me not very happy as a result as I hear real good things about these
machines and I"m of the sort willing to spend the extra cash BUT
if they make it so damn hard just to get basic information as this
this company is off my list.

If someone is able to provide valid links to sites that are not out
to chink me out of money just for the privilege of viewing the manual, please post.
A rep from Janome might do well in this regard.

For the record, I'm rather disgusted at the poor manuals I find
on the Singers and Brothers with the multi-lingual mess and just
plain poor manuals.
That said, without proof that this outfit is clearly superior in that regard
I can not take the word of anyone no matter how well intentioned they are.
PRoof is in me reading the actual manual (PDF).

Did you try the Machine tab at the head of this forum screen , if you did you'd find on the sepcification tab there's downloadable user manuals for each machine. But to base a choice on a manual only without actually visiting a dealer and trying models you are interested in, seems a touch shorthsighted.

uziuzi,

Why would you expect that any company would provide free manuals for the reading. Go visit a dealer, look at some machines and then follow Digimad's advise and look at the specifications for various machine manuals on this site. You don't need to be rude to folks posting replies here. Most have spent quite a bit of money on machines and know what they are talking about.

I was thinking the same thing. Many of the Janome manuals are available through a dealer, and for free. I think Janome just wants the customers to contact the dealer, and to build a relationship with their local dealer. Sure, many of the machines Janome manufactures are available online, but you are wise to purchase from your local dealer, because your purchase is more than a machine.

Skunkbad et al, I wrote a succint reply to uziuzi 02/19/2012 in the Choosing which Janome machine to buy category, the heading refers to a manual for an 801. I was rather harsh. I personally don't think this person has any real interest in purchasing a machine and only wants to show what a knowledgable "genius" he is.

Read my post for your entertainment. I think my message was received as we have not heard from the twit since.

Jacquie, maybe you are right. He threatens us that he will go with another brand? Sometimes you just have to let somebody go. It's called tough love. Someday he will realize the mistake he made.

kunkbad, maybe with his abrasive manner he needs to look at sandpaper company, he'd rub along well with a few sheets of that!
I'm afraid as I've got oder I have less patience with folks who have boorish attitudes and sheer bad manners.
