Bonjour,
When the sewing needle broke, I search if a part of needle is not fall around the bobin case
I'm not sure if the little part of needle will not create a trouble with my sewing machine.
Is it important to search and find it? Sometimes I'm not sure where is it!!!
I have a Memory Craft 9700.

Laurianne, I think you should be OK, but if you are really worried take it to your dealer and have it checked. I'd just tip it up to shake the insides a bit and that would make the broken needle drop to the bottom of the machine case, then you wouldn't be in trouble at all.

Remove the bobbin and case, check very carefully. Before replacing, take your vacuum cleaner wand and tape a nylon stocking around the end and poke it inside the wand. Give the area a good vacuum. If there is a piece of needle in there, it will go into the stocking.
This also works if you ever drop a contact lens into the carpet.

I did that with my 11,000 and was terrified that I would ruin the bobbin holder and hook race so I took it into my dealer. He took the arm apart and it was sticking up and would have caused me an issue. If what Jacquie and Cheryl suggest does not work, take it into your dealer. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, if you don't find a bit of needle, take it to your dealer. A short time after I got my 10001, I broke a needle and did not realize that a tiny piece had lodged in the bobbin area. Nasty noises ensued. I stopped the machine immediately and took it in to my dealer. He fixed it quickly and I never had another problem with the machine. The important thing is to take preventative action ASAP. It will save a lot of heartache and expense.

I just broke one not long ago. but the break was above the needle hole,so the tip was still connected to the thread.So always check that first.
