I am new to the digitizer and embroidery world. I purchased both the Digitizer Jr and the Digitizer MB Software. I loaded the software and it runs but all the tools it is suppose to have on the tool bar to do various tasks are missing. Where could they be and how do I get them to use? I am missing over 3/4 of the tools. The edit tools the digitize tools the and the list goes on. Is there anyone who can help me please. I would really like to use this software and be able to do what I need to do. This is fustrating.

Go to the tool bar on the top of your program and click on the vew tab. On the bottom of the tab is the word tools. Click on that and you need to check on the tools to activate them. You will receive a message to hold down I believe it is control down to keep the window open to click on them all.

All the boxes are checked on the view toolbars but the tools the instruction manual say to use are still not there.

In Digitiser MB you need to access each digitising tools flyout menus, to do that click on the litle black triangle in the bottom corner of the tool icon, the flyout will open. It is in the online manual but without opening my anual I cant say which page.
The tools are all there , just open each flyout and you'll see them. Give your manual a read and checkout the toolbars, I just wish I werent so rushed, Christmas Eve, and still so much to do. Check your private mailbox.

Thank you they are all checked. My Digitizer MB Pro says that it does not come with dongle for it so I only have the dongle for the Jr. version 3. The manual says you need 2 dongles so you can transfer the security code. I guess I will have to wait until the stores are open to get one. On the box it says that there is no security device in this kit.

No there isnt sugar, your Janome dongle gets updated, but you need an Internet connection for it to send home to pappa to say ' ok this software is kosher, now unlock me' If you upgrade to Digitiser MBX then you recieve a new dongle with that as its a change of versions, but your Janome Jnr V3 contains all th scripts needd to activate and run Digitisr Pro V3. But you do need that Internect connction. As far as I remember, it does it automatically, but it should say on th box an Internet connection is required.

Did you have a white CD and Yellow instruction sheet in your upgrade?

A yellow paper insert containing upgrade instructions with a unique order code, and also a white upgrade installation CD shown below.....Jr to MB (254735004) will also have a DigitizerMB program installation CD and spiral bound manual in addition to the items below.
Note: If the consumer does not have internet access they would be able to do the upgrade on any computer with internet. All they would need is their dongle, the white CD and the unique order code on the yellow instruction page. The Digitizer would not need to be installed on this computer they would be using...once they go through the upgrade steps, the dongle will be permanently upgraded with the new feature. They would then plug their newly upgraded dongle into their computer, launch their software and they will have: the full digitiser MBv3''
If you dont have the yellow instruction sheet ring your dealer and ask if them to do the upgrade, take your upgrade package and junior dongle with you.

Thank you so much. I did not receive a yellow piece of paper or a white cd just the manual and the installation cd. I will contact the dealer and see if they can do it for me. Hopefully they are open today. I have been trying everything for over a week to use this software and it is getting frustrating. When you pay alot of money for a program you shouldn't have all this hassle to get to use it. Thank you for your wealth of information.

Lasydis, it is possible Janome have changd the way its done, but you do need the Internet to do the upgrade still.
When you run V3 digitiser Pro, go to the HELP command in the top tool bar, open the drop down mnu and select About, when it opens read the program name and version number, that will tell you whether you have Jnr or Digitiser Pro/MB v3 plus a version identifier, like 3.0 F up to P It will most likely be V3.0P if you only just purchased it.
There are tools that will be greyd out as they need something on screen selected to become live. Just wish this forum had an image uploader as it would be so much easier to tell if your upgrade had or hadnt taken place.
