Everyone says how quiet it is, I can't wait to check it out. I have no idea when mine will arrive.

Received mine this week. It is awesome. Lots of different features and Icons different from the 11,000SE.

I am not really fond of the Horizon Link. The stitch composer is way more difficult than Digitizer. Hopefully they will post lessons on the Janome website like they do for the other software programs

My machine is here. It arrived today and I get to pick it up and try it out tomorrow at 2:00 pm. I would have done it today but it was our provincial election and I was working there from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and the store closed at 6:00 pm. I'm much to tired to sew tonight anyway.

I'll report back when I get to see my new machine.

I am waiting for my 12000 as well. I have the 11000se and the software I have been using is digitizer pro mb. Would you explain what is the Horizon Link. Does that mean we will no longer use digitizer? Thank you

Yes you will use digitizer, however the version you have is not going to recognize the new Hoops for your 12,0000.

The Horizon Link is a small software program very similar to customizer that is a layout and design view program, that hooks up to your machine. It is difficult to explain but when you get your installation CD that comes with the machine you will understand.

The new software that will recognize your 12,000 hoops is the new Digitizer MBX which is an upgrade from your Digitizerpro. You will be able to purchase the upgrade rather than the full program and that should run you about $499.99.

Talk to your dealer, some dealers are including the MBX with the machines.

You will still be able to use your digitzer but it will not have the correct size hoops and you will have to create a hoop in the correct size. You can no longer send your design directly to a flash drive from the new software, however hopefully they will correct that in the future. You can however save the design as a JEF in your folders for the designs and then transfer (send, drag and drop) onto the flash drive. I know this sounds like a roundabout way, but it will work until they give us a fix.

You can however, transfer from your computer directly to the machine.

hope this helps.

I've had my machine about 3 weeks now and I love it. The Digitizer MBX software is just as amazing. I don't know how Janome does it but they just get better and better. I haven't done anything with Horizon Link, but after our formal launch this weekend, I am going to try it out. It looks like it can do some pretty cool things. As I've been using Digitizer for about 8 years, I get lazy as I find it so easy to just go there to do what I need, but there may be simpler ways that are just as good.

Enjoy your machines, like I am.
