I am looking at different sites on the internet for Minky fabric. I understand there are different quality. Does anyone have a site they purchase Minky from?

Try Keepsake Fabric in Center Harbor, NH. I buy my minkie fabric there for use in scarves (minkie fabric on underside and I cut strips of different widths for the top side).

Minkie is very difficult to cut -- very, very messy. I make my sash for the top first, pin it onto the minkie fabric, position the top as close to the raw edges as possible, sew it all together and cut. The less you cut, the better.

Good luck!

Cheryl

I also heard that JoAnn's fabrics has some minkee. I have never sewn on it but I have friends that have and they say to use a roller foot because it is not easy to sew on.

It really isn't easy to sew on. I would suggest using a walking foot.

Try threadart.com. They have a variety of colors and if you sign up for the wholesale site you can get it for $8.00/yard. Hope this helps.
