I tried to use the ask jan, but I just get an error page. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I have a Memory Craft 3000, I know it is old but I can't afford a new one. I need to make buttonholes for buttons that are too large for the sensor function. I read the forum and found out how to make them manually. My question is: is there any way I can get the machine to "remember" the buttonhole that I made so that I don't have to do every single one completely myself? The way I found out to make one was to use the automatic buttonhole function with the clear satin stitch foot. I choose the style I want, which for this is the keyhole. I do the first side, stop it at the length I want, tap the black buttonhole lever, bartack and do the second side, tap the buttonhole lever, and it finishes. The problem is stopping it at exactly the right spot for every single buttonhole. I would really like to be able to make one the correct size and then the machine "remember" and do the rest the exact same size. I hope this makes sense and someone can help me. I am desperate!
Does your machine have any memory? I'm not sure when that became a function in Janome. My MC6000 would remember the size of a buttonhole as long as it didn't turn the machine off. If it doesn't have memory you will need to do each one manually, as you are doing now.
