I do not believe that the 11,000 Manual states specific wt of thread or bobbins. We all know that Janome machines run with the Janome bobbins which are class 15.

The wt of the thread determines the size of needle. The heavier the thread the larger the needle. When in doubt use a 14 or for heavier thread use a 16 or 100.

Also certain fabrics determine the needle that you use.

Superior threads and Allbrands also have a needle chart. You can go to Schmetz.com and they also have a wonderful needle chart.

Just to keep in mind Janome needles are made by Organ. There are numerous website out there that you can purchase the Organ needles at a good price, Allbrands is one of them and also Sew Vac Direct.

The Blue Tip that have the Janome brand are 75 and the Red Tip are 14.

Hope this helps you Tassee.

Superior Thread is great for info on thread. Their newsletter is great too. Schmetz will be able to give you info on needles.

Tassee - Try looking at page 15 of your manual it suggests type of needles and sizes for various fabrics
