Hi there everyone
I bought a Horizon last february and up till today have been really pleased with it. Today while attaching a binding to my first ever baby quilt the machine kept jamming and the needle broke. Now the little bar of the automatic plate converter has snapped off. I'm really disappointed about this. Anyone else had this problem?

I have not heard of anyone having that same problem, however, take your machine quickly to the dealer you purchased it from, it is under a year full warranty and they will repace your part at no charge.

You might call your local dealer before going there, to see if they have the needle plate in stock. If they don't, it will save you some gas, and I'm sure they would be glad to order it for you. We don't stock this item, because it would be extremely rare that somebody needs a new one. Perhaps your dealer will take it off of one of their floor model machines.

No I wasn't using the automatic plate converter whilst sewing the binding. The needle suddenly jammed and bent. I replaced it and the next one broke. As I moved the fabric away the tiny strip of the plate converter came off. I have contacted the dealer and I am returning the machine to him on Thursday. Thanks to everyone for replying.
