Yes I have a Janome MC 9500 and when using your decorative stitching designs for sewing on a piece of fabric do you want to use regular thread or embroidery thread, I find some of the designs don't sew out that well. any suggestions please. And is there any way to flip the patterns.

Thank you
Lisa

Most stitches work better with a stabilizer under the fabric and sometimes on top too. This will depend upon the fabric and the density of the stitch. Do a sample. If the fabric is very thin or flimsy, I suggest using a firm washaway underneath (cut strips) and a topper between the needle and the fabric. I have used tissue but it is a pain to tear away and there is the danger of distorted stitches.

You can use either ordinary thread of embroidery thread. Do a sample to check and use whatever gives you the desired results.

Let us know how you make out and what your are making.
