I like to make crzy quilted jackets over sweatshirts. I love how they look but hate how they fit. Does anyone have ideas on fitting these so they don't feel to sloppy? or am I just being to picky?

First of all be sure the brand of sweatshirt has a set in sleeve not a ranglin sleeve and when you take them apart to use them as a pattern do not just cut them apart, carefully just snip the threads so that the stitching stays in the sweatshirt and they will not stretch out of shape. Usually they tell you to go up a size however unless you are going to use a lining which would mean 3 layers do not size up.

I do lots of them and find this works for me.
