Seat Sacks

Created By:

Milinda Stephenson from Milinda Jay

Skill Level: Intermediate

When kindergarten teacher Carla Santiny needed 20 Seat Sacks for her classroom, her mother and Milinda Stephenson volunteered for the job using the Skyline S5

Seat Sacks slip over the back of any chair. The integrated pocket provides efficient storage space for papers, pencils and art supplies. They minimize distractions and help keep energized kindergartners on-task.

Janome Supplies Required
  • 7 yards of heavy duty fabric (Milinda and Carla's mom used royal blue 100% cotton twill)
  • Sewing thread
  • Skyline S5
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Measuring tape
  • Straight edge measuring device (we used a quilter's ruler)
  • Iron
