How to Embroider a Terry Cloth Towel

Despite all of the fancy designs you might comb through on embroidery websites, books or magazines, the most common embroidery created on home embroidery machines are monogrammed towels. Why? Because they are quick, easy and inexpensive. Monogrammed towels are practical and perfect for almost every occassion - weddings, college, birthdays, housewarmings, graduation, new baby, etc.

If you are new to machine embroidery or if you've embroidered for a dozen years, you will certainly be embroidering towels. In this lesson, Janome Maker Milinda Stephenson of Milinda Sews will give you a step-by-step guide to what the industry experts suggest as the best ways to machine-embroider monograms on towels.

Coworker Adventure Trip with Some DIY Included

We were so excited to see our Marketing & Education Assistant Kathy Carter and Marketing Assistant Taylor Deer travel to gorgeous Iceland last month. They both had the time of their lives with friends and saw some amazing places such as The Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, Black Sand Beach, several waterfalls and even got a glimpse of the aurora borealis (northern lights).

Kathy and her boyfriend Jon are avid rock climbers and members of The Gravity Vault in Upper Saddle River, NJ. Below is a picture of Kathy and Jon at the Black Sand Beach in Vik, Iceland. They are holding up a Gravity Vault traveler’s flag that Kathy made using her DIY talents and the Artistic Edge Digital Cutter
